Turkey exported 297,470 tons of wire rods in the first quarter of this year with average prices of US$608.69/ton FOB, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
In the first quarter of this year, Singapore was the largest importer of Turkish wire rods with 41,220 tons; Israel was the second largest one with 37,937 tons and Kuwait was the third largest one with 27,948 tons. Accordingly, it’s forecasted that the country’s exports of wire rods in the whole of 2013 wound reach 1.19 million tons, higher than 1.08 million tons sold in 2012.
