Finnish Softwood-Lumber and Planed-Product Exporters Raised Their Foreign Deliveries

Finnish softwood-lumber and planed-product exporters raised their foreign deliveries by 12% in July 2013 to approximately 543,000 m3 (July 2012: 485,000 m3). Here, exports to buyers within Europe rose by roughly 6.5% to 198,000 m3 (186,000 m3) whilst deliveries outside Europe increased even more conspicuously by 15% to around 344,000 (299.000) m3. The proportion of Finland's total softwood-lumber and planed-product exports accounted for by deliveries outside Europe thus continued to rise, amounting to 63% in July.
