Core prompt: The European Union (EU), in response to Germany-based SolarWorld AG's complaint that some China-based PV module makers have stealthily offered Europe-based importers prices below EUR0.53 (US$

The European Union (EU), in response to Germany-based SolarWorld AG's complaint that some China-based PV module makers have stealthily offered Europe-based importers prices below EUR0.53 (US$0.72)/W, a floor price set by the EU and the China government to settle anti-dumping and anti-subsidy, will investigate the allegations, according to industry sources in Taiwan.

The EU and the China government set a floor import price of EUR0.57/W and an annual import quota of 7GWp for PV modules in 2013, with the floor price reduced to EUR0.53/W in 2014, the sources indicated.

The EU's investigation may include India- and Malaysia-based makers which have close business relations with China-based PV module makers, signaling the EU may impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidization punishments against China-based PV module makers for the second time, the sources said.
