Oman Cement Company has awarded a contract to M/s. F.L.Smidth Private Limited to build a cement mill.

The company has issued Letter of Intent in this regard and the detailed contract will be finalised soon, it said in a bourse filing.

It further announced that it is progressing with the upgrade of Kiln-1 to achieve the higher level of production and better pollution control.

The Kiln is expected to start production in about six months, it added.
